Welcome to our Torbay tourist information tourist guide for Brixham and Torbay. Brixham is the smallest of the three towns that make up the holiday region of Torbay. Brixham & Torbay have over 22 miles of coastline to explore. Entertainments close by include Churston go carts, Broadsands beach, Goodrington theme park with Quay West water rides, Woodlands park and Cayman short hole golf to name but a few. Dartmouth and England's oldest town Totnes are a short bus or car ride away and both Paignton & Torquay are within easy commuting distance. Brixham is famous for its fresh fish and the town is host to a number of fish restaurants and eateries.

Brixham has a number of beaches including Breakwater Beach located near Brixham harbour, this is a pebbly beach, ideal shallow paddling for the kids, going out to deeper water for scuba diving. A beachside restaurant, which serves A La Carte seafood amongst other dishes (open evenings too, great views), and a beach cafe for takeaway snacks, etc.

There is a lovely cove at Mansands beach, which is gained from Higher Brixham - you will have to leave your car at the top of the cliffs and walk down to the beach and there is a picturesque cove at Scabbacombe beach - this is part naturist (the far end). Again, you need to leave the car at the top of the cliffs and walk.There are dozens of other beaches, small and large, outside of Brixham at Goodrington, Paignton and Torquay all are within an easy drive or can be accessed via the number 12-bus route.  

For Golf enthusiasts Churston golf course is a short car journey away and there are a number of municipal courses in Torbay and surrounding areas.

If you enjoy walking and nature Dartmoor Country Park can be accessed by coach or car and Paignton zoo is on the main Paignton to Brixham road.
